Admit it, I had you at "nutella".
Forget the generic box of chocolates this year, it's overrated. Homemade Nutella rolls will surely secure you the heart of your valentine.
Nutella Rolls from Inspired by Charm
1 can Pillsbury Grands Biscuits 3/4 - 1 cup Nutella Flour and Sugar for rolling
Cream Cheese Icing (optional) 4oz Cream Cheese (softened) 1 tsp Vanilla 1 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
Preheating your oven to 350 degrees and line eight sections of a muffin pan with cupcake liners.
Lightly flour and sugar your surface (the sugar adds a little sweetness to the dough). With a rolling pin, roll out biscuit until it's about double in size. Now spread Nutella on dough, about 2 tablespoons or whatever your heart's content. There are no limitations when dealing with Nutella. Roll your dough and cut into three equal sections. Then place the pieces, cut side up, into one section of the muffin tin. Repeat for all eight biscuits.
Bake for 15 minutes. Allow the rolls to cool for about five minutes, before removing from the pan.
I prefer the roll on its own because the frosting makes it over the top too sweet. But if you can't live without frosting, I recommend dipping individual bites.
In a medium size bowl, combine cream cheese, vanilla and powder sugar. Whip with a whisk until smooth.
What are your plans for Valentine's Day?
