Decorating cupcakes is considerably the most fun and creative part of making cupcakes, right? It is also the part where I call in for reinforcements. I can precisely cut and paste paper together, but give me a frosting bag and tip and all my hand coordination goes out the window. Luckily, I have a very talented cousin I can call for help. This is her masterpiece below.
Cookie Dough Frosting by Tidy Mom
1½ cup unsalted butter (3 sticks), softened ¾ cup light brown sugar, packed 3½ cups of confectioners' sugar 1 cup all-purpose flour ¾ tsp salt 3 tbsp milk 2½ tsp vanilla extract mini chocolate chips (optional)
Beat butter and brown sugar with the paddle attachment on high speed until creamy and fluffy. Mix in the confectioners' sugar until smooth. Beat in the flour and salt. Add milk and vanilla extra, mix until smooth and combined.
