Bachelorette Party Photo Session

Busy busy summer.

There are no excuses for me neglecting my blogging responsibilities, but I will do my best to win you over again.  Over the past few months, I've been in and out of town and super busy with maid of honor duties. So now that I've sent the newlyweds off to their honeymoon, I'm slowly playing catch up. I still have a bunch of cards to shoot and tons of pictures to edit so in the mean time, I will take you back to our bachelorette party we threw for the bride in Vegas.

There were the obligatory traditional bachelorette debaucheries but my favorite part of the weekend was spending saturday exploring downtown Las Vegas.  And the best part was that Belinda (Let me show you love!) was there to capture all our shenanigans! Most of the girls never really spend time off the strip except for late night trips to Pho Kim Long, a delicious 24 hour 'late night' favorite, so it was a blast showing off the chill vibe of downtown.

Yes, this was a 15 girl bachelorette party.  The bride is very popular!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Frosting

Decorating cupcakes is considerably the most fun and creative part of making cupcakes, right? It is also the part where I call in for reinforcements.  I can precisely cut and paste paper together, but give me a frosting bag and tip and all my hand coordination goes out the window.  Luckily, I have a very talented cousin I can call for help. This is her masterpiece below.

1½ cup unsalted butter (3 sticks), softened ¾ cup light brown sugar, packed 3½ cups of confectioners' sugar 1 cup all-purpose flour ¾ tsp salt 3 tbsp milk 2½ tsp vanilla extract mini chocolate chips (optional)

Beat butter and brown sugar with the paddle attachment on high speed until creamy and fluffy. Mix in the confectioners' sugar until smooth.  Beat in the flour and salt. Add milk and vanilla extra, mix until smooth and combined.

90s Kid

Remember the 90s?

My first paper puncher was a Happy Meal toy, a small Cabbage Patch Kid figure that had a star paper puncher at the bottom. Every time I perfected a piano song, my piano teacher would stick a scratch and smell sticker on the page.  And who remembers Sally Secrets? My very first roller stamp and hot pink ink pad came from Sally's shoes?

I miss being a kid.
